Frequently Asked Questions - Implementation
How does the Enterprise Edition track order conversions & eCommerce?First insert the tracking script into the order confirmation page (with the correct order id and order total) on your site. The commerce script is at the bottom of the page and labeled "orders". If you set up user definable tracking scripts for other site events you will find these under the same menu option.
Make sure you have already created values for the order id and the order amount, and assign them values from the current order (see implementation guide for more details). Once these values have been correctly assigned, the module inserts the <IMG> tag (with the correct URL) into the order confirmation page with the correct values.
You can obtain your order confirmation script by logging into your account and going to the following menu:
Setup / Get Tracking Script

How do I setup the Transaction Identifiers?Setting up your Transaction Identifiers
Setup>Define Transactions
Examples of Defined Transactions:
-orders
-trials
-opt-ins
-refunds
-confirmations
-thank-you pages
NOTE: Every time you define a transaction, an image tag is created and stored in the "Get Scripts" option under your setup menu This image tag needs to be placed onto your confirmation page for that transaction identifier.
For example, if you set up a trials transaction identifier, the trials image tag needs to be cut and pasted to your trials confirmation page.
For more information, please refer to the Implementation guide under your Help menu in your statistical tracking account.
How do I track campaigns?Create your Campaign Identifiers.
If you are tracking campaigns through the internet, there are two ways to setup the campaign identifier.
The first way is to go to Setup>Campaign Identifier.
Here you would type in the url of where you wish to see those specific visits from.
For example:
If you wish to track all of Overture traffic, you would type in www.Overture.com.
All the traffic coming from Overture would show up in the Campaign Activity Report.
Another way to track specific campaign information is to add a source parameter at the end of your url in your pay pay per click campaign, email campaign and so on To do this, you would log in to your pay per click account and at the end of the url you would put a source parameter to identify the campaign
For example: In your pay per click account, you would enter www.yoururl.com/?source=googleadwords
This identifies that all visitors coming in through google adwords will show up in your campaign activity report as coming in from this campaign and showing the keywords or phrases they used to get to your site.
